The Danger of Exhaust Leaks

These components are as follows: a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), and an SCR Catalyst. Your DPF captures soot, carbon, and other harmful emissions and prevents them from exiting your system. Your DOC and SCR catalysts on the other hand are responsible for converting harmful emissions like carbon monoxide and NOx into their most basic components. This renders them almost completely harmless.
